My Descendents of Walter Pynchon and Descendents of Samuel Rosseter pages include all the descendants of Walter Pynchon of whom I am aware.
Distinguished and aristocratic connections have been claimed for several of the lines on this page. Of those, the pedigrees of Christopher Savage and Anne (or Susannah) Lygon are well documented and stretch through great expanses of medieval nobility and royalty. President Barack Obama is descended from Dulcia Savage who is sometimes shown as Christopher's sister, although this is disputed. However, it seems more definite that he is descended from Christopher's great-great-grandfather, Sir John Savage (c. 1370-1450).Jane Empson's father may have been a Sir Richard Empson, but he was not the man of that name who was executed by Henry VIII on trumped-up charges of treason in 1510. And although there is a supposed pedigree for the Willis's stretching back to William the Conqueror, the links prior to 1500 appear to have been concocted.
